La Parada means “The Stop.”

The name is rooted in both family and community. Our founder's father once worked as a bus conductor, and La Parada was the place where people came and went, crossed paths, and connected.

Today, La Parada carries that meaning forward in a new way.

Rooted in Egleston Square and inspired by our Dominican heritage, we created a stop where people can gather around fresh, affordable Dominican food, experience genuine hospitality, and feel at home.

But our purpose goes beyond the food we serve. We believe a business should create opportunities for its people and use its resources to strengthen the surrounding community.
